Code 723: Da Shift Has Hit The Fan!

Adi Da Not Two Is Peace on 723The Buddha said, “Of all relationships, the best is trust.”  But recent NSA revelations have demonstrated that we are attempting to build a world of distrust in a mistaken search for security. Let us begin by dismantling that premise.  Where do we start?

On this day, July 23, 2006, World Friend Adi Da declared a decisive moment in human history for the sake of global cooperation, tolerance, and peace. In His book, Not-Two Is Peace, Adi Da Samraj, speaks to our planet’s violent human situation with a clarion call for global change in the form of a “Global Cooperative Forum”, a unique global institution founded in the inherent truth of prior unity.

From His essay “723:  The Free Declaration of The Universal Moral, Social, and Political Laws of True and Necessary Civilization” (pp 251 in Not-Two Is Peace):

This Free Declaration is the Seed-Utterance of that new and necessary true and right (and truly globally, totally, and universally cooperative) order.

This moment in human-time—July 23, 2006—is the precise and decisive moment of the uniquely new human necessity for all of humankind.

One and all, consider this Free Declaration of your possibility on Earth.

One and all, Be of this Free Wisdom Blessed and made all right—together and at once.

Something new must emerge ….. A new mode of social contract …. an ego-less mode …… based on cooperation, tolerance and universal participation and accountability.

Peace is not only about encouraging peace between nations and governments but is also about you and me and nonviolence in our homes, communities and schools, hence – “Be the change you wish to see in the world!”

You are invited to participate in the initiation of the Global Cooperative Forum, the universal representative body for all of humanity via global conference on Tuesday July 23rd 2013 @ 6:30PM.

A favorite story that Arun Gandhi sometimes retells from his grandfather, the Mahatma Gandhi, was that of an ancient Indian King intent on finding the meaning of peace. What is peace and how can we get it and when we find it what should we do with it were some of the issues that bothered him. Intellectuals in his kingdom were invited to answer the King’s questions for a handsome reward. Many tried but none could explain how to find peace and what to do with it. At last someone said the King ought to consult the sage who lived just outside the borders of his Kingdom:

King clutched the grain of wheat and returned to his palace. He locked the precious grain in a tiny gold box and placed the box in his safe. Each morning, upon waking, the King would open the box and look at the grain to seek an answer but could find nothing.

Weeks later another sage, passing through, stopped to meet the King who eagerly invited him to resolve his dilemma. The King explained how he had asked the eternal question and this sage gave him a grain of wheat instead. “I have been looking for an answer every morning but I find nothing.”

The Sage said: “It is quite simple, my King. Just as this grain represents nourishment for the body, peace represents nourishment for the soul. Now, if you keep this grain locked up in a gold box it will eventually perish without providing nourishment or multiplying. However, if it is allowed to interact with the elements – light, water, air, soil – it will flourish, multiply and soon you would have a whole field of wheat which will nourish not only you but so many others. This is the meaning of peace. It must nourish your soul and the souls of others, it must multiply by interacting with the elements.”

The message of Not Two IS Peace and the philosophic basis for a “Global Cooperative Forum” is not simply that humans can and must strive to resolve the planet’s pressing crises of violence, but that we must do it in a fundamentally new way.  At the core of Adi Da Samraj’s insight we are harkened to realize an entirely new pattern within ourselves, a radically different consciousness, from which to engage the grave global challenges arrayed before us.

According to Carolyn Lee Ph.D “The striking notion put forth by Adi Da Samraj in Not Two Is Peace is that humanity must now grow beyond nothing less than the fundamental orientation of searching for solutions to the world’s problems. Adi Da’s core argument is that the orientation of trying to find or create unity and peace out of all the divided interests of separate groups of people is “not it”— and is, in fact, no longer workable. Rather, what humankind desperately needs today is a profoundly new paradigm, which is summarized here as the principle—and working-presumption—of  prior unity.”

“Prior unity is not simply a philosophical concept or ideal. It is the structure of existence itself, as ancient seers have declared and even modern physics has demonstrated. To experience and presume prior unity obviates the search to “cause” or “create” unity or peace. The work becomes one of enacting and magnifying the prior unity that is already the felt reality. It is to enable the inherent prior unity of people to come forth on all levels of the world stage. It is a profoundly different context within which to work.”

From Adi Da, Not-Two Is Peace:

The root-source of disturbance in the human realm is not a financial crisis, or the crisis of global warming and extreme weather, or the problems that arise with the migration of people to everywhere, or the breakdown of the international system in the United Nations, or the epidemic nature of disease and poverty.

The root-source of disturbance in the human realm is the (by-now-paradigmatic) presumption that human beings exist in the world merely in order to consume, to acquire, to luxuriate in conditional experience of all kinds, to exploit the possibilities of enhancing their own “self”-interests — with no other principle or countering force to which they must be accountable.

The present world-chaos must be clearly and thoroughly understood – not only as the total and final collapse of all past civilizations (or of ego-culture and the “tribalization” of separate and opposing human socities), but as the consummate critical moment of opportunity for humankind as a whole and single order of mutual responsibility on Earth.

The old moral, social, and political “order” of humankind is now dead. A new and true and right order of humankind is, now, and forever hereafter, necessary.

Only everybody-all-at-once can change the current chaos.

Something new must emerge, intones Adi Da Samraj –

“A new mode of social contract must emerge . . . an egoless mode of social contract — based on cooperation, tolerance, and universal participation and accountability.”

“Today, more than ever, we need to make this fundamental recognition of the basic oneness of humanity the foundationof our perspective on the world and its challenges. From the dangerous rate of global warming to  the widening gap between rich and poor, from the rise of global terrorism to regional conflicts, we need a fundamental shift in our attitudes and our consciousness — a wider, more holistic outlook”. — The Dalai Lama
