The founder of LifeSpring and the Human Potential Movement, John Hanley invited me to captain his first experiential “Environmental Workshop” slated to be hosted in Orange County. I accepted the challenge and then called my best girlfriend to see if it was possible the workshop might be covered as a “The Home Show” segment. She pitched the idea to one of the segment producers which resulted in the following clip.

We began the Orange County LifeSpring Environmental Workshop discussions for promotions and development Jan 1990. ABC filmed the live LifeSpring Eco workshop event Monday, August 13, 1990. The local community-based project filming began afterward, in-studio interview filming Jan 11, 1991, eventually airing Jan 22, 1991. The out in the field peace tree planting segment filmed Friday, September 21, 1990. The Home Show was a morning ABC television show 1988-1994 airing to an audience of 11 million viewers predominately women.

Mission Montessori is still in operation and the Peace Tree remains a special story and memory for the current faculty and children who attend. A beautiful and lasting Peace teaching symbol for 27 years now. | 30-year anniversary 2019
